heart healthy recipes for men

Why This Page Exists

At the time of writing this post, I was 59 years of age. I had learned loads about diet, exercise, and fasting.  I am free from Doctors, med drugs, no equipment, I can walk, ride my pushbike, HELL! I can even sprint up the stairs at the local railway station…and that is jumping a step. I didn’t get here by accident, guys. I don’t have any serious symptoms whatsoever and not even prostate issues which seems to be common among many men.

I’ve lived long enough to see what works, what doesn’t, and what quietly adds up over time.

This page exists because men are constantly bombarded with extremes — extreme diets, extreme workouts, extreme promises — while the basics are ignored. What actually matters isn’t perfection.

It’s consistency, awareness, and making better choices more often than not.

This isn’t about chasing a “perfect” body. It’s about staying functional, independent, and healthy as the years stack up, and you are going to learn how you too, can make it happen for yourself. If you have swollen legs from poor circulation, liver issues, kidney issues, I am sure you will find what you need here to turn things around. I had sore joints, p[particularly my ankles, sore knuckles, and blurry vision.

I was so worried I was going to eventually need thick glasses as time went on, but I fixed it with making the right health choices. It is never too late, Guys.

You will fin d this site to be one of the largest men’s health sites as time goes, and for real men, not gym junkies with cute butts for the ladies.

How I Approach Health Today

I don’t follow fads.
I don’t follow gurus.
I don’t follow fear-based advice.

What I do is simple and sustainable.

Smoking

I smoked for 25 years and quit when I turned 42. That decision alone changed my trajectory. It didn’t fix everything overnight, but it removed one of the biggest anchors dragging my health down.

Food

I eat high-protein foods.
I use protein powders when it makes sense.
I take supplements I believe support my health.

  1. I keep fat intake low most of the time — not because fat is “evil,” but because moderation matters as we age.
  2. I don’t add sugar to my coffee or tea.
That said, I’m realistic — sugar exists everywhere. It’s in supermarket food, sauces, snacks, and yes, even honey.
  3. I still enjoy honey on toast.
    I still eat bread.
  4. I limit it — I don’t eliminate it.
  5. I avoid whole-grain and wheat-heavy breads as much as possible because I’ve learned, the hard way, how they affect digestion and gut health. But again, I don’t live in restriction mode. Completely cutting everything out isn’t realistic and usually doesn’t last.
  6. Health has to fit into real life — or it fails.

Supplements & Products — Why I Use Them

I use supplements.
I use nutrition-based products.
I don’t pretend food alone fixes everything.

I also don’t believe the answer to every issue is another prescription.

Over time, I’ve learned that supporting the body often works better than constantly reacting to problems once they appear.

This resource section exists for men who:

  • Want to take responsibility for their health

  • Prefer natural, lifestyle-first approaches

  • Are tired of being pushed straight toward medication without discussion

Any products mentioned on this site are here because:

  • They’re widely used by men

  • They align with long-term health and longevity

  • They support the body rather than override it

  • I believe they have a place in a sensible health routine

Nothing here is presented as a cure. Nothing replaces medical care when it’s needed, and I will always say to be cautious if your health is suffering and ensure you actually obtain advice from your local doctor before trying anything. Having said that, I know your body will thank you for trying to let it heal naturally. It has worked for me , so it can work for plant of other men.

What This Page Is — And What It Isn’t

This page is:

  • A collection of resources I personally relate to

  • A place to explore nutrition, supplements, and health topics

  • A reflection of how I live, eat, and look after myself today

This page is not:

  • Medical advice

  • A promise of outcomes

  • A replacement for professional care

  • A hype-driven supplement pitch

If something appears on this site, it’s because it fits into a long-term, realistic approach to men’s health — not because it sounds exciting.

How This Section Will Grow

This resource area will continue to grow over time.

I’ll be adding:

  • Blog posts on foods I personally eat

  • Discussions around supplements and ingredients

  • Simple exercise and movement topics

  • Honest conversations about men’s health as we age

  • Products and resources that align with longevity, not quick fixes

Nothing rushed.
Nothing exaggerated.
Just information worth considering.

If you’re looking for common sense, real-world health discussion — stick around, lost of pages and posts are on their way.
